This easy buttermilk chicken burger recipe uses chicken breast and only four additional ingredients to make the best burgers edinburgh. We’ve kept this recipe basic so you can experiment with different fillings.

Keep it simple with lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise, or get creative with tzatziki and feta for a cool Greek variation, or heat it up with guacamole, jalapeno slices, and chipotle paste for a Mexican touch.

A healthy version of a buttermilk chicken fillet burger might be made by dredging the breast in panko breadcrumbs after the eggs and before putting it in the pan. These have fewer calories, salt, and fat than regular breadcrumbs.

To prepare Crispy Chicken Fillet Burger Recipe, follow these steps:

  • Garnish with mashed avocado, onion, lettuce, cheese, or any preferred toppings.
  • Clean the grill before cooking the chicken breasts. Turn the grill to high heat and, after it’s heated, scrape the grates clean of any residual food particles using a wire grill brush.
  • Grease the grates. Spread oil over the heated grates using a lightly greased paper towel. (Use tongs to handle the paper towel)
  • Preheat the grill. Don’t put food on the grill until it’s hot. We want to grill our chicken breasts over medium-high heat so they cook rapidly while retaining moisture.
  • Avoid overcooking. Cook the chicken breast halves for 3-4 minutes on each side. To check for doneness, probe the chicken with your finger or tongs; if it feels soft, it needs to cook longer.
  • To create this chicken breast dish, split one chicken fillet in half horizontally to form two thin, equal-sized fillets. Repeat with the other fillet, then place each piece of chicken in a freezer bag and pound flat with a rolling pin.
  • Season the chicken with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Place the flour in a mixing basin and season with 1 teaspoon salt and pepper, or to taste.
  • In a separate dish, softly whisk the eggs, then dip each chicken piece in the egg, draining any excess before dipping into the flour mixture.
  • Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat, then add the chicken pieces.
  • Fry the chicken for 3–4 minutes on one side before flipping. Reduce the heat to medium and continue to cook for 5–8 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through with no pink in the center.
  • To make the burger, place 1–2 chicken pieces on one side of a burger bun and top with your favorite filling. Close the Chicken Fillet Burger Meal and savor it!
